Precise Planning, Perfect Execution: 3D Design for the New Cafeteria at the Rubber Factory KRAIBURG

A Place for Everyone – Modernization of the Cafeteria at KRAIBURG
With the successful modernization of the cafeteria at the Rubber Factory KRAIBURG, we have completed another project in close collaboration with our client. The objective was to create a space that goes far beyond the function of a traditional dining area - one that genuinely meets the needs of employees while also addressing sustainability and functionality requirements.

Versatility Through Functional Space Design
The cafeteria was designed not only as a dining area but also as a flexible space for meetings, discussions, and relaxation. A key design element was the installation of an acoustic ceiling, which effectively reduces noise levels and creates a pleasant atmosphere suitable for a variety of uses.
In addition, a meeting room equipped with modern media technology was integrated into the space, enabling the cafeteria to serve as a multifunctional venue for meetings and external events alike.

Sustainable Planning and Environmentally Friendly Solutions
Sustainability was a central consideration throughout the planning process. Automatic lighting systems with motion sensors ensure energy-efficient illumination and help optimize overall energy consumption.
A water dispenser was installed to provide employees with constant access to fresh drinking water while reducing the use of single-use plastics.
The furnishings were also upgraded with sustainability in mind:
- Outdated beverage vending machines were replaced with energy-efficient models
- The flooring was fully renewed
- Radiators were newly clad to ensure environmentally responsible and efficient operation

Design Meets Comfort
Beyond functional and sustainable considerations, the aesthetic design of the cafeteria was given significant attention. A new green wall not only enhances indoor air quality but also creates a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere throughout the space.
Practical details, such as enclosures for tray trolleys, help maintain order and contribute to a harmonious overall design concept.

Added Value for Everyone
The modernization has created a flexible space that accommodates not only dining but also informal conversations, relaxation, and productive meetings. This versatility fosters a positive workplace culture and actively supports communication and collaboration across the company.
The project at KRAIBURG demonstrates how thoughtful planning and sustainable design solutions can come together to create an environment that is both highly functional and aesthetically appealing.
MPC is proud to have been part of this project and looks forward to future opportunities where innovative and sustainable spatial concepts can once again be brought to life.
